Youths aligned to Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Team Lacoste have blasted the party’ secretary for Youth Kudzanai Chipanga for threatening war veterans.
Zanu PF is currently in a nasty battle to succeed the 92 year old Robert Mugabe and two groups have emerged in race to succeed the ageing leader.
Chipanga who is believed to be aligned to the G40 faction in the past week made statements to the effect that ‘youths would deal with war veterans’ who wanted to demonstrate against the removal of their leader Christopher Mutsvangwa.
Mutsvangwa recently won a court battle in which the High court ordered Mandy Chimene who is linked to G40 to stop interfering with the organisation’s business.
Speaking in a press held at the ZANU PF headquarters a group of National Youth Service popularly known as the Green Bombers vowed to deal with the Chipanga claiming he was a murderer.
“How crooks in the likes of Chipanga Kudzanai who had the blood of a war veteran in his hands, whom he killed with his thugs can only this day work up and say he is defending the First Family” said the National Youth Service Secretary General AbsonMadusise.
Madusise further said Chipanga derived his morals from the former Zanu PF Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa.
“Where are his morals derived from when his mentor Didymus Mutasa who has the blood of many in his hands, whom we know of his violent nature has a natural hatred of our symbolic leader Cde Robert Mugabe?”he said.
The National Youth Service Commander Kelvin Murapa said as an organisation they did not trust him.
“Whilst Didymus Mutasa is with the People First Project how do we trust Kudzi Chipanga who is an admirer of his mentor who gifted him with a house located at house number 135 Nyanga Drive in Rusape be of good standing to defend our most revered liberator.” said the former commander of once violent group.
The group accused Chipanga of being the de facto youth leader of the newly formed Peopl First party led by ousted Vice President Joyce Mujuru.
Hamandishe said Chipanga wanted to revenge what was done to Mai Mujuru.
“Their hatred for the war veterans is well documented on the wall for everyone to see. Their hatred is compounded by what they perceive as the role war veterans played in the ouster of Joice Mujuru from Zanu PF” they said.
Another group known as the Children of Zimbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association led by Innocent Mhlanga advised Chipanga to read ZIMASSET instead of attacking war veterans.
“We advise Chipanga that he could have spent such valuable time reading and understanding ZIMASSET and perhaps help in its implementation than threatening war veterans” said Mhlanga.
Efforts to get comments from Chipanga were fruitless as his phone rang unanswered.
